Why Should Couples Get £200 From The Government?

We have reached that time again,when all political parties scratch around for "bribes" that will sway us to vote for them at the next General Election in 2015.

No one has the moral high ground here.Every party is at it,apparently unembarassed by the very obvious nature of what they are doing.

Of course,some of these voter-specials are odder than average.One I find particularly strange is the concept of the Government giving couples (married or civil partnershiped) a special £200 allowance.

I don't know about you but I married for love.I consider myself lucky to have found a partner.I have also been lucky enough to have children.Both things I did to please myself and my partner,not to help the country or "society".

It is a mystery to me why I should be given £200 by the Government for pleasing myself.

I could go on to ask why "bad" couples with terrible relationships should get the money,even if good ones should?But no need to go down that road.

It is simply a daft idea and it certainly will not win my vote.
