Britain hasn't been invaded by a marauding army since 1066 BUT these days one doesn't need a bow and arrow to fight a war.
The recent trend has been for invaders to arrive with their cheque books as their artillery, ready to buy up some of our most important businesses.
Airports, water providers, power companies, Cadbury are just some examples of parts of what some would argue is Britain's heritage, sold off to the highest bidder.
The results? Often job losses, cultural chaos, lack of proper investment and substandard service levels.
Over the next few months, I will be investigating this subject in depth and illustrating with examples from my own wide experience.
