Cash is under threat across our planet.
Card schemes hate cash, as they can only wring profit from their debt-creating plastic products.
Visa and MasterCard have both made clear that cash is their enemy. Since 90% of all purchases on our planet are made using cash, this enemy of the card schemes must be the trusty friend of humanity.
Cash-is-Cool is working tirelessly to defend cash from predatory card schemes.

Totally agree with your ideas
Alvin, you are our champion.
Agree. One of the nasty effects of paying by card (especially for small transactions) is that the banks rake in a fee for every transaction. Even for a transaction of around £2.00 the fee is around 50p -- 25% of the sale! It is amazing that there is not more outrage about this. I rarely use my card, and if I do it is my credit card and not my debit card, as I do not believe in paying the bank in order to access my own money.
I agree with 'cash is cool'. Nicely presented and well thought out website.
I endorse the idea that cash must remain...I have a friend who many years ago was totally in love with cards..... he had very early on... in the early 70's,more than 20 cards.. rob peter to pay paul... I never got over the feeling that actual cash was more rewarding... Delia xxxx
I agree with your charter, and I wish you well with your endeavours.
Marvellous... I have always been an advocate of using cash. Went to buy a secondhand car the other day, one of these car supermarkets... really didn't want to take cash, wasn't allowed to take more than 5 grand, because of money laundering laws, wanted me to have it on credit! Didn't buy it. Once upon a time you used to get a discount for cash!! Bring back the old days!
Well said! I help to run a local CAP* Money courses in Bournemouth. We emphasise the use of cash in helping others take control of their budget. Yes, cash is king! Kids often only ever see parents use plastic and no money money seems to change hands and then grow up to have no concept of cash bugeting. *Christians Against Povery........ go to www.capmoney.org
This is fundamental to our freedom of choice. At last we have someone who realises a monopoly by the card schemes is dangerous.
Hear hear!
