Cash is under threat across our planet.
Card schemes hate cash, as they can only wring profit from their debt-creating plastic products.
Visa and MasterCard have both made clear that cash is their enemy. Since 90% of all purchases on our planet are made using cash, this enemy of the card schemes must be the trusty friend of humanity.
Cash-is-Cool is working tirelessly to defend cash from predatory card schemes.
Isn't this exciting! My first ever racing tip on Cash-is-Cool!
Before I give it, let me announce my preferences in terms of jockeys, the rather important people who asssist our four-legged friends to victory (or so we hope!). Over the jumps, there can be only one selection i.e. the Real McCoy!
Yes, Tony McCoy, the greatest jump jockey of all time. Champion jockey for 16 consecutive years, winner of all the sports biggest races - he has even won once after falling off his horse - and, of course, BBC Sports Personality Of The Year for 2010.
On the flat, my choice is a little more controversial, if only because controversy and this man have walked hand-in-hand for years.
Yes, my choice is the incomparable Kieren Fallon. Like McCoy, as Irish as a Kildare Bog - and just as much a genius (as McCoy, not the bog!)
So those are my top "boys", who I always turn to when cash is short.
And so, my first tip?
I go for Fallon, riding in the second race at Newmarket on Saturday.
The horse is : Naqshabban!
Fallon will carry the nag over the line if necessary - but it probably won't be!
Bet small - and enjoy the win!
