Cash is under threat across our planet.
Card schemes hate cash, as they can only wring profit from their debt-creating plastic products.
Visa and MasterCard have both made clear that cash is their enemy. Since 90% of all purchases on our planet are made using cash, this enemy of the card schemes must be the trusty friend of humanity.
Cash-is-Cool is working tirelessly to defend cash from predatory card schemes.
This week sees the launch of the Cash-is-Cool Family Budgeting Survey. The idea is to find out more about you and your spending habits so we can tailor what we do with the website content. Obviously Cash-is-Cool is all about the use of cash in home budgeting but they’re well aware that cash isn’t the only option available. By examining the spending habits of folk like you and I they can generate more articles around budgeting help and look for ways to add value to that most crucial of tasks – saving money!
Christmas is just around the corner and I’ve already made a start with the bigger items. I’m normally a last minute shopper but this year has seen some fundamental changes in our family set-up, which mean that I’ve got to be increasingly cautious about my spending habits. For the last 2 months I’ve been picking up little bits here and there, taking advantage of two for one and money off offers to make the most of my budget.
Tomorrow I’m going to Borough market for the day. My plan is to take my cash budget, with me and stick to it – no running to the cash point for top ups tomorrow… I have to be strict!
Please do take 2 minutes to complete the survey. We’re going to be featuring a series of bloggers over the coming weeks, all talking about how they manage their money, so if you’re interested in taking part in that give me a shout (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I’ll send you a Word-based version of the survey to complete.
